Bob Caldwell, SIOR

President · Broker-In-Charge

Bob Caldwell · Commercial Real Estate Broker · SIOR

As a commercial real estate executive with extensive expertise in development, brokerage and property management, I provide leadership for our clients that is informed by my experience representing the interests and investments of large corporations.  My career began in 1986 with SCANA Development, Inc., the real estate investment arm of South Carolina Electric & Gas in Columbia, SC.  When Liberty Life Insurance Real Estate Investment Group acquired SCANA Development’s real estate division in 1994, I was named Director of Operations for the company’s Charleston and Columbia, SC real estate assets. When this $28 million portfolio was sold to Liberty Property Trust, LLC, a REIT that owns over 105 million square feet of inventory in the southeastern U.S. and the U.K., I was asked to manage existing properties and create new development opportunities. With a solid foundation built on innovation, commitment and expertise in developing, leasing, selling and managing more than 1,750,000 square feet of institutional grade real estate, I opened the doors to my own company in 2000.  Then, as now, my goal was to take this specialized corporate knowledge and use it to help private clients develop and manage projects that fulfill their goals in an entrepreneurial environment, with sound management practices and informed exit strategies.  Caldwell Commercial operates under a corporate format, in which we use our market knowledge to assist clients in making investment and buying decisions that not only make sense in the present, but also include a solid plan for future changes and optimum profit.

Bobby Carrier

Vice President of Property Management

Being the latest addition to the Caldwell Commercial team, I am excited about being back with a locally owned and operated firm. My career has its roots as an accounting major and over 15 years’ experience in public accounting then to the public sector in manufacturing and property accounting. I moved to the Charleston area in 2001 where my accounting career merged with commercial property management. I know from experience how strong accounting is to the performance of a commercial property investment. My commercial real estate experience included stops with Colliers International, Carmody LLC then to CBRE, the largest commercial real estate company in the world. I have been involved with the management of portfolios that exceeded 4 million square feet that included Class A office, industrial/warehouse, property owner associations, retail centers, land and managed numerous construction projects. My clients have ranged from national real estate investment corporations to local, single building owners. I enjoy working for both. I am in the relationship business and I accomplish that by providing great commercial property management services for my clients. The Caldwell Commercial Team is comprised of professionals that have lived in this area for decades and they know our properties, the market and what it takes to help our clients be successful with their investments. I know Charleston, I know commercial property management and I know Charleston Commercial Property Management.

I am thrilled to use my skill set of top-notch customer service, active listening, and problem-solving to enhance the relationship between our tenants and Caldwell Commercial. I strive to provide excellent administrative support and organization in addition to putting our tenants’ needs first. I believe no requests are too small, and I will work diligently to resolve tenant concerns in a timely manner.

Laura Cox

I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2011 with a degree in Mathematics and started my career teaching high school. My love of math and real estate eventually merged into a career in both real estate and accounting, which I’ve been doing since 2013. I enjoy using my analytical skills to save our clients money while increasing ROI. I pride myself on accuracy and attention to detail that goes above and beyond the industry standard. Clarity in the accounting process is something I strive for daily, keeping an open dialogue between owners, tenants, and clients.

Cameron Griffin

Associate Broker

I graduated from the University of South Carolina before moving to Charleston, SC in July of 2012. Once I made the move to Charleston, I started working for First Federal Bank which eventually merged into what is now South State Bank. As an employee there my duties included analyzing residential assets and Commercial Underwriting. Since moving to Charleston I also obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Citadel and obtained my South Carolina Real Estate license. Real Estate has been in my blood since working for my family real estate firm in Spartanburg. Now, I am excited to take on the new position as associate broker with Caldwell Commercial and help create value for everyone I work with.
